I can suggest animoto Ive been using it..animoto is nice coz you can also upload video.
Checked, but need something with more options for developers something for free like http://www.videocapx.com ?

wax 2.0. It's an upgrade to windows movie maker. Also, adobe products for video/photo editing is perfect if you want to directly connect it to your camera. There's a lot of free stuffs online. the problem is you need some time to get to know how they work.

Most videocapture cards like Matrox, Blackmagic, AJA etc comes with their own video capture application software.
Other than that you can use any video editing program to capture video.
