I can't seem to find the free download of Outlook 98 at Microsoft's website anymore.

Does anybody here have the Outlook 98 upgrade ? Or know of any website where I can still download the free upgrade ?

    Thank you.

Its an old version. 2000 is the current one now.

Besides, you had to pay for it, and we can't be talking about illegal stuff can we?

I believe Outlook 98 is a free upgrade for all 97 users.
I don't know where to get it though....

Outlook 98 was always a free version for Outlook 97 users. Unfortunately since Outlook 200 has been released they have stopped distributing the outdated versions. Outlook 2000 can be purchased at your local software store for between $60 and $90 dollars and is included in all MS-Office 2000 packages.

Therefore, they don't offer it anymore.

I downloaded it back in 1998 then again a couple months ago...but I don't think the 2nd time was from microsoft.

Try searching at download sites if you really want it, but it's hardly any different.

I believe MS released 98 so quickly to fix all the bugs in 97...it was a major service pack. Outlook 97 was buggy, and the only thing they could do without making users lose confidence in them was release a new version and keep the reason why quiet

Bah, I don't see the use for having to pay for Outlook when you can get Outlook Express FREE. What's the difference, anyway?
