    Question Journal software?

My mind is spinning with some interesting ideas while I create a community on my site. I would like to offer an online journal and need some help.

I am looking for a simple "Free" journal program that I can use. Preferrably without the need for a database.

Is anyone famliar with Greymatter? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks! Lori

Moved to appropriate forum. Personally, I recommend this: http://www.moveabletype.org

If you're planning on having a message board similar to this one at your site (specifically vBulletin), there is a 'journal hack' you can get for free at vBulletin.org.

I've seen it in action at other sites and it's quite nifty. The members seem to really enjoy it.

    phpbb

I am using phpbb forum on my site already. I see there is much to choose from as I surf sitepoint forums. Considering I am not that experienced, I need to do a lot more research. I know what I would like to offer, but it is my lack of experience in this venue that holds me back. I somehow seem to get things figured out in the long run though.
    Thanks for your input Kat.
