I'm in need for a reliable and free banner management system. I'm currently using Cliff's Banner Rotator (available at http://www.shavenferret.com/scripts). It can accept HTML codes directly, instead of having to specify banner image source and target url. However, it doesn''t count the clickthroughs, or have any stats at all apart from impressions.

I need suggestions on a FREE CGI script that can rotate my banners, accept HTML codes and provide basic stats. Thanks.

I use SFE Banner Rotation. This script alows you to control banner rotation on a web site. You can add, remove, and edit banners from the web based Control Panel, as well as view Impression, Click, and Click-through ratio statistics for each banner individually. Its easy to install. You just have to tell the script the location of perl, upload, chmod, then execute the admin file and you set everything up web based.

Have you tried Adcycle? It's free and I know a few other people here have used it to.

Thanks. I need the URL for the SFE banner rotation in order to try it out. Does it require actual banner images store on the server, or can I call the banner from the advertisers' server?

I've heard of Adcycle and it seems like a very good program. The problem is that I don't have access to the SQL on my server. Can anyone suggest a few more?

If you don't want to host the banner system on your server, check out http://www.orbitcycle.com, http://www.adrotator.com, or MyComputer.com's Ad Runner.
