I watch it occasionally, I think it is one of the better cartoons I have seen since Garfield (when I was a young'un).

I enjoy the Simpsons, and I'm old. Think it's funny. Has anyone seen Battlebots on Comedy Central? That shows great! People create robots that have saws and stuff on them and they have 2 of them fight at a time. They have 4 different weight classes so a little one wouldn't fight a huge one. It's on Wednesday's at 1030.

Not me. Never inclined to watch them. I occasionally watch them though.

The Simpsons are amazing - what a show...funniest show I've EVER seen...only "MST3K" rivals it!

Ya know, there's a discussion going on about the new Simpsons Movie in production at a CERTAIN movie site...

Yeay, 2nd time TWT and I have agreed on something.

I think they are very clever, I like trying to spot all the film references.

The simpsons were recently voted the TV show of the millenium.

I think they're great, and I like battlebots too, which comes on right after south park which I also love.

South Park and Simpsons are similiar in how they tend to make fun of social issues and the like. I like South Park more than the simpsons though, it just makes me laugh more.

I prefer South Park above The Simpsons, although I watch them both (occasionally, since Star Trek is still my #1 )

I watch it every chance I get. I also like spotting the cleverly hidden references to films. I'm convinced the Simpsons is an "adult cartoon" as kids wouldnt get a lot of the things the characters say. Animaniacs was another show that did that. That show was really hysterical sometimes.

The Simpsons is the cleverest cartoon show ever, the social and political references are astounding and extremely interesting as well as hilarious

    Hi,

I love the Simpsons although we seem to get old episodes in the UK. My dad says it is a load of rubbish but laughs whenever I put it on. I think young kids enjoy it as a cartoon and older kids/adults enjoy the political and social references in it.

My wife and I used to watch it religiously. Then we got religion and started watching Third Rock from the Sun.

The Simpsons are the typical American family. That's why they are so good. You laugh at them because u know the same things could happen to you. Also, you learn from your own mistakes and for 30 minutes they spice up your life. I love the simpsons and I will follow them to the end of the world.

I don't know about that... I personally have never seen any father sit around in his underwear and watch television.

But then again I don't get out much and at my home we don't have any kind of television feed. We only watch movies, read, play and listen to the radio.

Typical? LOL - hardly! They're your typical dysfunctional family basically. Very loveable of course.

Anyone ever see the episode where the Simpsons were "3D"? I've never caught the beginning of that episode, but Homer somehow got sucked into some world with a bunch of algebra equations. He threw a pyramid-looking object into the ground, and it caused a hole to suck him down into our "real world". He was all digitized and walking around in a real city. Really a neat episode. I've only seen it twice, but its cool nonetheless

He was only in 3D part of the time...

I leave you with two quotes from that episode.

    "I hope I didn't brain my damage."

    and...

    ------------------------------

    Homer: Hello?

    Marge: Homer? Where are you?

Homer: Uh, I'm somewhere where I don't know where I am.

Marge: Do you see towels? If you see towels you're probably in the linen closet again.

    Homer: Just a second...no, it's a place I've never been before.

    Patty & Selma: The shower...<laughs>

    Homer: HEY!

    ------------------------------

    Hehehe.

Only Homer was 3D and at the end of the episode. I think it was actually one of the mini-episodes they do for Halloween so keep on the look out for it next month on your local syndication channel.

Wayne is right - it was temporary and fairly short. Pretty interesting.

I remember sitting at my girlfriends house in high school, and on came the first Simpson's full-length episode. It was a Christmas special. Homer blows the Christmas money gambling at the dog races, but then saves himself by giving one of the dogs to the family for Christmas. This is why their dog is named Santa's Little Helper. (I think this is a accurate.)

Does anyone remember what the Simpson's was like when it was only really short clips shown during the Tracy Ullman show? (This was in the late 80's)

Why does everyone I know seem to like the Simpsons? I mean, I admit I haven't watch many shows (I'm not a big TV watcher, besides from sports), but it just doesn't interest me. Guess I'm just not "hip".
