    Angry animating text

ok, this may sound elementary - but I cannot, for the life of me get text to animate with a fade in and fade out while following a motion guide across the stage...and now, my "text 2" seems to have disappeared - though it's still there...sigh. Obviously, I am new to flash..

    Suggestions?

Here's the file I'm working on

    Thanks

    Toni

btw, "text 1" does what it's supposed to (though when I test movie, it loops twice before "text 2" makes its appearance??) text 2 was sort of working, then it wasn't...no idea what I did. ACK!

I see no file?? I'll give you a hand if you can put a link to what you're doing. It's not hard.

Most likely since you appear to be using masks, you'll need to embed your fonts for your text fields in order to animate them behind masks.

but why does it kind of work? Shouldn't it not work at all then? That's the part I don't get. Sigh. Any other commments welcome.

    Thanks

understandable! well, I want three instances of the text (tonibanks.com) to animate. The first should slide in from the left with a fade in and a fade out. As that one nears the end of it's fade out and motion, the second should slide in from the right with a fade in and out. As THAT one fades out, I would like the third (not in the file yet) to fade in in the center (no movement on this one).

any suggestions on perhaps a better way to go about this?
