    Hi all,

what do you think will be the future of PHP - is it going to survive or rather be replaced with other technologies? What direction is its development supposed to go?

I don't see PHP going anywhere, anytime soon. PHP has made some great strides. PHP 5.4 made a huge stride IMO with a built in web server ( I have not used this feature yet, but with one command, you can initiate a listener on a custom port to test your scripts. It does not have MySQL ported with it, which is perfectly fine with me since I will just set up a dev db along side my production one.

Just looking at the version log, you can see the strides it has made lately, and how often. It is a very lively project.
