Don't know if this is the right forum. Please advise.

One of Murphy's laws: "It's impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious".

Nevertheless, I wonder if I might be able to leverage my many years as a mainframer and my CAPM certification (as well as my dabbelings in PHP, XHTML, etc.) to help software developers and/or their customers develop software test plans.

As the saying goes: "developers test code". That is, a programmer is much better at devising a test suite for someone else's application than he or she is at making one for him-/her-self. Or, put yet another way, an effective test likely will include aspects the programmer/designer didn't anticipate.

What do you think? Is there a market for someone who independently devises test plans?
