    Help with colors of links

    Code:
    .contentTable
    {
      font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
      font-size: 10pt;
      color: #000000;
      background-color: #FFFFFF;

      a:link: #003366;
      a:visited: #003366;
      a:hover: #003366;
      a:active: #cc0000;
    }
    Could anyone tell me why the links do not show up in the colors they should? I know the class is in the correct table because the link shows up in verdana and in a font size of 10. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Help with colors of links

    Do you want ALL links to have these colors, or just in the table? I'll give you both examples:
    All links
    Code:
    .contentTable
    {
      font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
      font-size: 10pt;
      color: #000000;
      background-color: #FFFFFF;
    }
      a:link {
    color: #003366;
    }
      a:visited {
     color: #003366;
    }
      a:hover {
    color: #003366;
    }
      a:active {
     color:#cc0000;
    }
    Just in the table
    Code:
    .contentTable
    {
      font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
      font-size: 10pt;
      color: #000000;
      background-color: #FFFFFF;
    }
     .contenttable a:link {
    color: #003366;
    }
     .contenttable a:visited {
     color: #003366;
    }
     .contenttable a:hover {
    color: #003366;
    }
     .contenttable a:active {
     color:#cc0000;
    }
    You may run into browser support issues with the 2nd example.

    Hope this helps!

    a:link etc. are their own selectors. You have to define them separately and not inside the .contentTable selector.

    If that was unlear, it should be like this:
    Code:
    .contentTable
    {
      font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
      font-size: 10pt;
      color: #000000;
      background-color: #FFFFFF;
    }
      a:link: {
     	color: #003366;
     }
    etc.

    What browsers did you test in OOC? I've been wary of that method (that's why I didn't recommend it) but perhaps I'm being a little conservative.

    Just IE. This application is only going to be used by about 10 people (internal to the company) and they all use IE5.5 or higher.
