If you don't know what I mean with a 'trekkie', this isn't for you

Who's a complete Star Trek Freak? If so, how much hours a day/week do you watch the TV-shows, films, etc.?
What are the other things (ST related) that you like to do?

And At Last, The Ultimate Question: Which series is better (in your opinion):
    • Star Trek - The Origional Series
    • Star Trek - The Next Generation
    • Star Trek - Deep Space 9
    • Star Trek - Voyager

I'm not what you would call a "trekkie", but I definitely enjoy the show, and watch it fairly often when it's on.

The best ST series? Star Trek - The Next Generation hands down! In my opinion, the show started going downhill from there.

    I see it this way:
    • 1. The Next Generation
    • 2. Deep Space 9
    • 3. Voyager
    • 4. Origional Series

I don't watch many episodes of Star Trek, but I'm very interested in the used technology...

BTW I'm currently preparing (another) site about the amazing technologies in Star Trek.

Well, I am not a hard-core trekkie, but I am somewhat of a fanatic:

-My computer has been customized to deliver Star Trek sounds for events.
-I have downloaded and created numerous backgrounds for my desktop.
-I have the Winamp Star Trek Engineering skin and the theme songs for TNG, DS9, and Voyager on MP3s.
-I have a folder dedicated to misc. Star Trek files. Oh, and I have the trailer from "Dark Frontier" on my computer.
-I religiously watch and try not to miss an episode of the current running Voyager series, and if I do, I either record it or catch it on a rerun.

Here's my opinion on the order of shows:
    • 1. The Next Generation
    • 1. Deep Space Nine
    • 1. Voyager
    • 2. The Original Series

The way I see it, there is no "best" among my top three - I love them all and watch them whenever I can. I can't speak for The Original Series because I have never seen them (Our TV stations don't broadcast them).

Basically, yes, I am a trekkie, but I don't run around in a jump suit (Although I would like to at least have one) with a real com badge talking to friends telling them to "beam me up".

Elledan, let me know when your site is up. I also am interested the actual technology used in the show and would like to see it being used someday...before I die, at least.

My dad loves the show, but very much dislikes the nutsos who dress up like Trek characters and go to conventions and try to invent their own Klingon language...yech!

Heads up for some of you: there should be one more Next Generation movie, and then they're going with a new cast and storyline...based on the upcoming series: "Star Trek: Flight Academy."

In my heart I'm a bit of a trekkie.

I used to watch all the old reruns of the original series.

Then I really got in to Next Generation when it was showing. (Picard is awesome! One of the reasons I went to see X-Men was just to see him.)

I originally didn't like Voyager or Deep Space Nine. However, after giving them a chance, I realized that they were good as well.

How can everyone rank the original series so low? What is Star Trek without Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scottie? The original was far ahead of its time culturally I would say.

I've seen a few episodes of The Origional Series, and I can't only say that they're... different from the other series.

A few things why people rate The Origional Series so low:

-The decor is a typical example of sixties style
-Computers as we know them now were unknown in that time. Gives the show a few strange effects...
    -They're almost never broadcasted

Well, personally, I don't know how anyone could call themselves a trekkie without liking the real, original Star Trek.

I never said that I didn't like The Origional Series. They're just so different from the other series and I just think that TNG, DS9 and Voy. are at least better looking and have a more interesting story-line...

    IMHO of course...

I remember falling asleep one time when there was an episode of Star Wars playing on the tv in my intergalactic spaceship although I wasn't tired...

I rather like SciFi like the 5th element or comedy SciFi like Men in Black and Mars Attack.

Personally I like Voyager the best, but maybe that's because it's the only one I ever get to watch. I have to stay up until midnight everyday so I can watch the old reruns. I missed the first 3 1/2 years the first time around.

I enjoy the Star Wars movies, but Star Trek has kind of died since they've made so many different versions of it...

You must have been VERY tired that you fell asleep during Star Trek

I'm enjoying every episode and... Oops, I forgot that I recorded an episode of TNG yesterday...

If you'll excuse me: I've got to watch it!
