Just curious.
If you do, how often do you do it, and what do you use for backup hardware and software?

I copy critical files to a floppy
Only when I format my PC or something else that's 'critical', I copy the most important files on my HD to the other PC in the LAN.www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.

My old computer came with a 2.5GB hard drive, and I use it as a backup HD (also to hold Linux/BeOS). My primary 5.7 GB drive gets formatted quite a bit.
I have a ZIP drive, a SuperDisk drive, and a SparQ drive. Don't use any of them much.

I have a CD writer and burn to CD about once a week. Also once I get my computer I built up I'll copy to that every three or four days.
I learned why to backup the hard way!!

I have an ISO of a working win2k partition with all the drivers and stuff i need. I made the cd bootable so I can just put it in my drive and powerup to restore
. I put important stuff straight onto an old (and actually more unreliable than my main hdd) hard drive.

I back up documents and various projects to a 6.7 gigabyte hard drive daily and then copy those files to tape incrementally once a week and do a full backup once a month.
I never backup my applications or operating system because they are easier to restore off my setup Hard Drive (6.7 gigs as well) or CD than from a backup.

I use Backup Plus to backup mine weekly when I'm sleeping onto my CD-RW drive. I still need to register it, though.
If anyone is interested, I think you can find it at HotFiles.com by doing a search for it.
