    Footer problem, please help

    This is as close as I can get it to work (which is obviously wrong)

    http://www.syscompsjax.com/index9.asp

    One note: when the page length is short enough so that the page doesn't require a scroll bar (like on the Login page), the footer should be seen without scrolling down, at the bottom of the screen.
    Just like if you were to make it a table with the height at 100%
    The left menu works properly, I want the footer over the left menu (but not below it, with an unnecessary scroll bar)

    Thanks
    Phil

    Try nesting your "footer" div within the "main" div.

    Closer... but definately not it.

    Page is back up now (sorry, style sheet was missing for a little while). Here's what it looks like with the footer div inside the main div:

    OK...try removing absolute positioning from the footer div and putting it outside of the main div again?

    I think having the footer tag inside the main div is the way to go... but I can't get it working. What should the CSS be on the footer div?

    Why don't you just remove the background color of the footer it will look fine?....

    Code:
    div#footer
    		{
    		width: 100%;
    		height: 20px;
    		z-index: 15;
    		text-align: right;
    		font: 10pt Verdana, sans-serif;
    		position: absolute;
    		left: 50;
    		}

    Thanks, I will do that as a last resort. Anyone know how I can get it to stretch across it all and get it to work properly??
