Spain, Gibraltar and Canada are the most memorable for me. All of which are just amazing places.
I travelled to the upper northern part of Ontario and saw the most beautiful wilderness there. Totally untouched by human civilization. Crystal-clear lakes..gigantic fish..mosquitos the size of canned hams...
I've travelled all over Spain, from one coast to another and everywhere in between. All the cities have an interesting story behind them, and there's so much history to be found there. The scenery is breathtaking.
Gibraltar is absolutely mind-blowing (Nicky can agree with me here) There is a huge auditorium inside of an ancient cave on top of a mountain. Have to see it to believe it.
In two more years I'll take a trip to the rest of western and northorn Europe. By that time I'll have visited about two dozen different countries
Sparkie
I've been to South Korea (Soeul, Taejon, Po'hong) a few years ago. We skipped the DMZ due to tensions between the North and the South, though.

Australia was the last place I went to... just hung around in Cairns. Did a freefall jump - that was fun.
Most interesting / exciting place has got to be the Gulf during the war. I was a medic.

Well, I spent the better part of a fortnight (two weeks) in England and Scotland. What a great trip! I would love to get back there some day and maybe see more of Northern Scotland.
I have also been to Canada, although, that doesn't really count when you live in Michigan.
I would also like to see more of the US; the West coast in particular. I've heard there are a lot of jobs there for Web designers. Maybe move out there for a couple of years![]()

I suck...I've only been around the country...Las Vegas, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C....havn't left the country, but I would love to visit places like Canada, Australia and perhaps Isreal someday.
I've been around the block a few times... = ) I sure wish I could visit more of the world...I love seeing new things and having a new experience...
I've lived in only two countries, Brazil and Senegal but I've been to the following..
Brazil, Senegal, Gambia, Portugal, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Uruguay, Spain, Paraguay, Argentina, Mali, Mauritania, and Guine Bissau. I guess that makes it 13...hmm..i have about 180 left to go... =D
I traveled a lot in Spain, just like Sparkie. My great-grandparents are from there...it's a great place...very ancient and historical, with some awesome castles. I especially like Cordoba...
Being a Brazilian, I've travelled pretty much all over Brazil...its a great country...very diverse both in culture and nature...

I've been to 94 countries including Texas...
Actaully, I've been to about 30 countries.
Italy
Spain
Greece
France
Germany
New Zealand...etc

I forgot about Hong Kong too...
Actually that is the most exciting place I've been to, place-wise rather than activity-wise. (The Gulf was more exciting, but then it had war, gas attacks (or so we thought) and lots of whizz-bangs).
Has anyone been to Hong Kong since it went back to China?
I went beforehand and wonder if it has changed much.
So that's 25 countries for me!
I don't think there's any others that I'm missing. I touched down in Dehli but didn't leave the airport so I'm not going to count India. I'd love to go there though!

Peter, yes, I've been back to Hong Kong since the takeover. Not much has changed, though the standard of living has shot up so much that it's now about as expensive as Europe or the US. However, that doesn't mean you still won't find some cheap bargains (just ask me, I'm originally from HK!)
I've been to
Thailand
Singapore
HK
UK
Holland
And I'm from Melb., Australia... Co-incidentally where SP's office is based
If any of you come over to Australia (Melbourne in particular) and want a tour guide, gimme a shout and I'll help ya out!![]()
United States
Mexico
Germany
Denmark
Holland
Belgium
France
Switzerland
Czech Republic
Austria
I love traveling though!

I've been to CompUSA, Best Buy, Circuit City...wait nevermind.
I live pretty close to Mexico (less than 20 miles) so I have visited a couple of times. I went to Canada a couple times too.
That's all for me.

Well in true American fashion I'm going to list the states I've been to as countries.
USA
Illinois
Pennsylvania
New Hampshire
Vermont
New Jersey
New York
Maryland
Virginia
Texas
New Mexico
Arizona
California
Oregon
Minnesota
Iowa
Indiana
Michigan
Ohio
Wyoming
North Dakota
South Dakota
Montana
Washington State
Washington DC
Deleware
Kentucky
Tennesee
Missouri
Lousiana
Georgia
Alabama
and Mexico
That's about 34 countries..
Been to
Germany (Live there usually)
Australia (Lived a year there)
USA (Been living here since last October)
France
Italy
Greece
Spain
UK
Switzerland
Austria
Canada
Netherlands
Belgium
Liechtenstein
Stopovers in Japan & Thailand
As for states in the US, so far: New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC, Virginia, North & South Carolina, Georgia, Florida.
The most interesting place was probably Australia and I am defeniately going back there again, very likely next year! I also like New Hampshire (where I am right now). Just came back from hiking up Mt Washington. Nice.
But overall I like Europe the best. It's just great being able to drive for a few hours and to be in a totally different country/culture!

That sucks you have never left the country...either have i though. The only other country I have been to is Canada. I might go down to mexico as a junior missionary. Canada is pretty sweet, and I love how they have garbage cans everywhere, and its really clean outside. But I hate Canada for the fact thats its CANADA! Think about it. What has Canada done for anyone. Do they even have a army? No. Have you ever heard about them in your history classes about them doing ANYTHING in the past? No.Originally posted by TWTCommish

Wayne, Wayne.... You know... Every nation here has another language here. There are countires with 3 national languages (being Belgium and Switzerland). That's one thing.Originally posted by wluke
I have only been to Australia (Sydney), Canada, Mexico and 40 of the 50 states, each of which could almost be a different country with societal and cultural changes not unlike neighboring nations in Europe.
Secondly there is this huge difference in history. First there were the ancient Greeks and Romans in Greece and Italy, than there were the Galliėrs (don't know the name in English) in Belgium and Holland, etc. Than there were the angelicans (england) and the Vikings in the North. I've been to lots of countries including every country that surrounds Belgium and I really see a difference in culture and mentality.
You know I'm on 50 km of Holland, 100 km of Germany, 120 km of France and 250 km of Luxembourg? :-)
