Hey there,
I am the owmer of MP3cities.com, rite now I am in a hole, what I need is I need to configure my server so that when someone types in there browser a file type .mp3
I.E. http://www.mp3cities.com/download.mp3

it will take them to a download page where they have to click on a button to download the file...
Alot of sites use this like webjump, homestead and more... I had a guy working on it but he got into a hole that he could not climb out of...

I don't know if this would work but you could name it download.mp3.php or something, and use a .htaccess file to hide the extensions.
That would hopefully mean that .php would be hidden and .mp3 would show.
You could also set your webserver up (in your Apache Config file) so that .mp3 files are passed to the PHP handler or whatever language you want to make the page in.

Add this to your .htaccess file:

<FilesMatch ".*\.mp3$">
ForceType text/html
</FilesMatch>

This will force all files with an extension of .mp3 to be served as HTML then all you have to do is name the html files with a .mp3 extension.
