In light of new Twitter API announcement...

Marco Zehe posted this blog last year about social media and accessibility. Under the "Twitter" header is a long list of one solution for crappy social media: 3rd-party clients, which can be built to make the original service actually work for people. Like, those strange and unknown people who use... keyboards.

Recently, Twitter has announced their new API rules which would make things harder for clients like EasyChirp, especially the limited tokens part.

Why? The announcement pretty clearly says they need to approve giving tokens out. Now, this doesn't mean they will approve anything at all. But I'd suspect a popular client that serves a need they don't seem to want to fill and is good PR stands a pretty good chance of getting approvals.

So far, EasyChirp has continued to have trouble expanding their quota.
