What is your desktop wallpaper?
I usually have a plain color (usually black, navy, dark red, etc) but I feel like spicing up my desktop.
So lets see your wallpapers!

Since I'm too lazy to take a screen shot of my desktop (isn't everyone showing their's off nowadays?), I'll explain it and where I got it. It's a dark blue forest at dusk. You can see trees, mountains, and other beautiful, natural scenery. I got it http://www.digitalblasphemy.com . That site is plain sweet.
My actual wallpaper is at http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/dbga...erramoon.shtml . It's actually called "Sierra by Moonlight" and it's one of the top 10 downloads at DB.

I have a rendered version of a friend's Bryce landscape. It's a 1600x1200 BMP but if other people want it I'd be happy to JPG it and upload it.
It's pretty darn cool!

Hey mjames86, you beat me to it! I'm also quite a big fan of DigitalBlasphemy, and I was actually on my way to that site tonight to pick out another background for my desktop.
For those who have never been there, you ought to check it out: http://www.digitalblasphemy.com

Because the nasty BMP file is so huge, and even the JPG file is huge, if anyone wants my wallpaper (you can see it in http://aboutpcs.com/pix/office/1.jpg ) just e-mail me. So as not to induce spam just click on the e-mail button above this post. I'd have no hard feelings for my ISP if they had to deal with a bandwidth burst cause of my wallpaper, cause my DSL's been down 95% of the last month!!! I would feel bad if my host had to pay for 80 extra GB's of traffic...
Anyways..

Star Trek Wallpaper
The Defiant ('small' space ship) with the Earth and some nice solarsystems on the background.
I got it at Download.com, with a theme for Windows 98, but well, Win98 is history for me
BTW for those who didn't know it: I switched to Windows 2000 Professional yesterday.

I use WebShots, it provides hundreds of great pictures, totally free! Go to http://www.webshots.com and you can download the Webshots Desktop program, then you can get either themes of pictures (packs that contain about 10) or download pictures individually.

Hi,
I just have a plain light blue (the windows 2000 blue even though I am on a 98 machine). I have some really cool wallpapers but I don't use them as they slow down loading times. I found an excelent wallpaper site: http://www.looroll.com

Usually I have an NSync Background, but lately I took it off, cause I am running out.
I can't figure out what OS I'm using though...hmm...
Open and you'll find out.

Note: I made the image smaller to save space - I *don't* use 640x480 rez

Well, I had an absolutely beautiful 3D Star Trek picture that I got someplace on the web. But my husband accidentally lost it. I could probably find it again, but noticed there were so many icons on the desktop that it wasn't worth the trouble anymore, so, since I still have some Star Trek desktop elements that I like, I just used a plain night sky and stars background for the wall paper. For my computer at work I downloaded Active Desktop Calendar instead of regular wallpaper. It comes in real handy if you have an office job, but I'd imagine it might be useful for students, too.
