Need your feedback. How long would it take you to make these sites?

    Hi everyone,

I'm growing my business as an independent web designer <snip>, and I'm really working to track my time and make my processes more efficient. I'm also trying to figure out how I line up in the world of professional web design, and I'm hoping you might be able to help me on this front. Below are links to three sites I've made along with some details. I'd like to know, in your totally honest (and realistic) opinion, how long you estimate it would take you to create each or any of these sites from start to finish (design work, building using a CMS, customizing, and follow-up). Thanks for your feedback! Here are the sites: (WordPress, video plugin, photo plugin, custom donate slider, homepage slider) (WordPress, PayPal option to buy artworks, custom artist page plugin) (my personal site)

Thanks again for your feedback - any and all opinions are welcome!

    All the best,

Hi McGuive7. Welcome to the forums.

how long you estimate it would take you to create each or any of these sites from start to finish
That's a really hard one to answer (a bit like "how long's a piece of string?") because there are so many variables. For example, you could have clients who have all the content prepared and know exactly what they want, or clients who are totally clueless and require a lot of TLC and coaxing. (And I won't be drawn on which type is the more common. )

Personally, I think you've just got to measure the time it actually takes you and charge a fair price for your services. It may take someone less time, but will they do a good job? There are too many variables.
