    css and row border

I want to add a border to a row in a table but I do not want a border around the table or any of the cells in the row. Just a border around the entire row. Is that possible?

    Yes, 2 ways...

1: Have the row as a nested table, and border that.

    or

2: Create three classes of <td> 1 with borders to top and sides, 1 with just the sides, and one with borders to bottom and sides, and whack the class definitions in the appropriate cells....

Ummm, to me #2 sounds more like a column than a row. Surely for a row it would be td1 = side + top + bottom = leftside; td2= top + bottom = middle; td3= top + bottom + side = rightside? Nonetheless, the principle is right and it can work great, provided there's no padding anywhere in the table.
