How to convert a PSD file to Wordpress Theme?

I am thinking to lay my hands in designing themes for my sites. I've found out that some people create the design in a .psd format and later on covert it to a simple wordpress theme. I would like to know if there are any softwares which run such conversions?

As far as I know, Artisteer is a WYSIWYG web site creation tool, not a tool to convert .psd to HTML, which is what the OP is requesting.

I can't believe that can actually be done. I would love to know the trick.

But no such software as such. Even if there is, you can't get your desired output or layout.

Learn HTML and CSS. That's the best option.

You just need to know: HTML, CSS, PHP and the Wordpress codex. A WP theme consist of more than just a skin ( graphics and CSS styles applied to outputted HTML from the WP CMS) it is also a PHP template. So am afraid there is no 'shortcut software rout' for this. Even if there was, professional level results are seldom achieved these way. i would stay away from WYSIWG solutions anyway.
