How to get the MAC address of the unit when thr is no OS installed on it
Hi everyone,
Can anyone explain me how to get the laptop MAC address when thr is no OS installed on the laptop. I wanna install win 7 OS , i'm trying to push the OS thru network on the laptop, i can't ping to the server neither i have access to cmd prompt .... plz assist
if you enable PXE in BIOS (network boot) it will try to boot from the network and show you the MAC address in the process. So try reading the DHCP logs - or dump all broadcast traffic and filter DHCP traffic, then all newly powered machines without an OS should be shown in the traffic
