width 100% trouble

Hi all,

O.k this is my css file...

------------------------------------------------------

body {

leftmargin:0px ;
topmargin: 0px ;
background: #eeeeee;
padding:0px;

}

#navigation {

position:absolute;
top:0px ;
left: 0px ;
width: 700px ;
height: 60px ;

}

#connecter {

position: absolute;
top: 0px;
left:0px;
height:60px;
width:100%;
background:#cddcd1;
border-bottom:2px solid #000000;
padding:0px;

}

---------------------------------------------------

History: I have the connecter div tag placed right under the navigation div tag in relationship to when you are looking at the screen.
Reason: It gives the appearance that the navigation is part of a set of frames, but is not.
Problem: On the connecter I have set the width to 100%, but it does not stretch the whole width of the screen. It stops at about 95% or so. Can anyone tell me why? Or give some suggestions on what to do.

thanks, wwright

Interestingly enough if I set the width to 102% it stretches the full width of the screen and DOES NOT produce a horizontal scroll bar?!?!

O.k I dumb or at least a bit hasty on my posts

So my margins were wrong..

So for the next person who makes this mistake.. the changes are as follows... (in red highlights)
----------------------------------------

body {

margin-left:0px ;
margin-right: 0px ;

background: #9eadbe;
padding:0px;

}

#navigation1 {

position:absolute;
top:0px ;
left: 0px ;
width: 700px ;
height: 60px ;

}

#connecter {

position: absolute;
top: 0px;
left:0px;
height:60;
width:100%;
background:#cddcd1;
border-bottom:2px solid navy;
padding:0px;

}

--------------------------------------------

So now I can set my width to 100% with it displaying correctly..

Thanks.. to me I guess
