Wordpress Comments

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to remove comments from certain pages on a wordpress site.

I want the comment option available on all pages apart from the Home page and Contact page, thanks in advance for your help...

I think there's an option in admin area of the page to close comments. You can also achieve that by changing code and using special template pages.
