    designing for the Mac

I have been building sites for a long time using a windows machine with IE and Netscape. My sites look good in IE and Netscape but when you look at it using a Mac and IE for Mac the problems start. Especially when you use javascripts, css, dhtml and layers in your site extensively.

My question is this: What would happen if I would build and test a site entirely on a Mac and IE for Mac until it looks and works well on that system. Would it look as good on any of the win9x/2000/xp/ sytems with IE and Netscape? Or will the same problems occur but then the other way around?

    Share your experiences please!

I was creating dhtml pages with GoLive and such pretty often several years ago... we would get it perfect for Mac NN4, then take a look at the site on a Compaq we bought just for that purpose. Changes were almost never needed.
