I am currently getting a careers section onto my companies website. We are an international company therefore employ people all over the world. Ever country has its own laws regarding content of job adverts.
Should the content of the advert placed be governed by the country that: the corporate hq is in? the country where the contract for the job is drawn up? where the employee will be working?
I am not a lawyer but I do pretend to be them at a few parties...anyways...
I would suspect that you are governed by the laws of the country in which the job info is posted. This seems to make sense just because a non-US company can get in trouble for not complying with (stupid nonetheless) American Internet laws like COPPA and the DMCA.
Hope this helps...but as always the only 100% correct advice we can give you is "consult a lawyer"
You can go to a free "ask the expert" site like EXP.com and look for a lawyer who deals with internet law. They can answer basic questions and give some legal advice.
