    2 images as page background?

    Hello,

I need some help from the local css gurus

I already think I know the answer, but it doesn't hurt to ask

What I would like it to have 2 images as the page background; 1 repeating along the top of the page (x axis) and 1 repeating along the left side of the page (Y axis).

    Is this possible?

    /me prays

And what do you want in the top left corner?

I don't think it's possible (using document background), using two divs is a better idea

:P um..I thought that thread was too outdated, you never know when these w3c guys will have new standards and stuff

I spent the last hour trying to make mor corner work, I really would have liked to have dual-backgrounds Add to that my design implodes in a window smaller than 800px wide

I think the nature of a background image is that it's a single image
I.e. the body of an element can only have one background image, while the different borders (top, left etc) can have different background properties
Unfortunately, the body element has no borders

Why can't you do like this?
