    Sitepoint TipFeed Lite

Anyone else using this? I am and it has been working fine, but today it is throwing a JavaScript error when you click on the [explain] link. See www.siteguru.co.uk to see what I mean.

It works for me too, but it does kick off a quick Javascript error before it switches pages. I can see the little yellow icon flash real quick down in my status bar.

Hmm. Problem is still there. It only started happening yesterday. What is supposed to happen is the tip launches in a popup window (hence why you see the Close This Window link at the bottom right when the tip loads). The javascript error is occurring because of something weird with the window.open command.

I wonder if any SitePoint bod will see this and investigate?

Problem fixed! The JavaScript error was occurring in the pop-up window code; when the JavaScript failed, it fell back on opening the link in the current window. It should now pop up correctly.

Sorry to surface this old thread, but it seems there may be another problem with the tipfeed ... it has been showing the same tip for about the last week!

It probably hasn't been updated due to the forum upgrades. Read the latest thread in "News and Announcements".

We're aware of the stalled tip feed. It's the first thing we'll look at once the new site it up and stable.
