    Borders around applets?

    Hi,

    I had an image with a thin dark-blue border on my page. In the CSS, I wrote this:

    .bilde {border-style:solid; border-width:1px; border-color:#000033}

    the page itself had this:

    src=images/barn01.jpg style=float:right width=233 height=151 alt="Barn fra India" class=bilde>

    It worked fine...

    But when I wanted to have an applet that faded images, I put the class=bilde there again, but this time it didn't work... Can't you have borders around applets?

    well... i would suggest pulling all of your "style" jazz out into your external css...

    but to answer your question (i think)...

    i have put borders around objects using something like...
    object, embed {border: 1px dotted #999;}

    i assume you could make this work for your applets. of course you'd need to class it if you don't want every applet having a border.

    hope this helps.

    I do have it in an external stylesheet, and I have classed it. Found out that it actually works in IE, but not in Mozilla and Opera... Oh well... Most of my users use IE, and it's just a tiny border anyway. I think I can live with it if there's no way to put it right...
