Hi, can anyone recommend a good, user-friendly java chat program that I could install on my webpage?

I've checked out a couple dozen individual programs, but they all either have some sort of bug/unresolved issue or are extremely difficult to implement.

I don't really even need something overly complex, just something people could use to chat with. It's got to load quickly as well.

    thanks,

    -Chuck

Sorry Chuck! I can't name any off the top of my head, but you might want to see what the following site has! It has thousands of applets, and I assume some chat ones!

    There's:

    http://www.webmaster.com
    http://www.multichat.com
    http://www.chatway.com

I used Chatway until just recently when I got my own ad-free channel (#sportscentral) on a friend of a friend's chat server (he owns the irc.samshark.com channel). I'd go with one of the ones mentioned above since it's a rarity one like mine. Good luck!

Check out the one SitePoint uses (QuickChat). You can see it in action at http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/chat.php3
I believe there is a link at the bottom that takes you to the QuickChat site.
