    Talking Win 2000 Server

I just instaled Win 2000 server on one of my machines, I just set it up to test scripts, as I was configureing it it told me that to access databases I also needed to install a database server, is this really neccessary and what softwre do I need for a database server, Mike. P.S. I am a real newbie to all of this.

There any many kinds of databases you can use with IIS or any web server. You can install MySQL and begin using it (it's cross platform compliant with Linux )

Or you can use an Access database as the drivers are already on your system. Look up some tutorials on creating Access databases in ASP
