RedHat 8.0, apache and PHP
just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem or might have a clue as to what's going on with my apache config.
I installed RH 8.0 and used the default Apache and PHP rpms. I thought php was woikin' fine until i tried the samplepage.php file from Kevin Yank's book. That sample has the following php code--<?=PHP_SELF?> to call itself after a user has entered a name.
On my Win2k install of Apache 1.3.27 this works fine, but on the Redhadt apache 2.0.40 no joy. Apache says something to the effect of "object not found..referal link bad ..blah,blah,blah". What's up with that?
I must add that I tried to use the latest apache build on Win2k but was sooooo frustrated with the php config issue I went to the 1.3.xx release.
