If you have a twitter, give him a tweet: @dennisl
He runs? a podcast called Web aXe. You should totally contact him. Or ask him for someone else to take a look at what you're planning and give you tips. Especially if accessibility and how AT and humans and devices work is new to you, you can't expect to be able to build this thing the right way the first time. I have little to no experience building interactive widgets, so I can't help more there. If I were suddenly asked to do so, first thing I'd do is ask some of the guys I know who've been doing this a long while to give me tips and ideas, stuff I know I won't think of myself.
