Guru, Addict, Enthusiast, Evangelist.
Is there levels... say 100 posts, 250 posts, 500 posts, 1000 posts?
But then I see people with 100 posts are Enthusiasts, and yet so is Jonese with his 1020 posts. Its all very confusing.

vBulletin, like other forum software, allows you to set a title for people who make a certain number of posts. The titles here have changed once or twice since vB was put in - I guess they're still trying to figure out how to call people names.![]()
There are levels and as things get stabilized the titles will become clear. If I remember right it should be:
1 post = SitePoint Member
5 posts = Enthusiast
100 posts = Addict
500 posts = Evangelist
1000 posts = Guru.
Several quirks need to be worked out in the settings including setting up the moderators properly and a few other things like tweaking templates and such. Over the next few days as these things are accomplished we will be back to normal. Most of the problems most likely lead back to the importing of data from UBB which isn't a perfect process by any means.
p.s. At least you have a title...![]()
....Well, looks like you grabbed the short end of the straw, huh, Luke?

Can someone tell me why if I have 120+ posts, I'm still a "SitePoint Enthusiast". According to Wayne's data above, I should be a "SitePoint Addict"...

I'm an enthusiast and I have about 113 posts. According to Wayne, I was supposed to be an addict, but then only people with more than 200 posts get that. Strange!![]()

I think wayne mightve got it wrong...
I think you become an addict @ 200 posts
Adam

I am a Guru with a little more than 740 posts...not quite 1000 like Wayne said.
I'll keep the title![]()

Another thing: there should be an area in the FAQ that has all the ranks. It would keep everything sorted out.

Thanks for the recommendation Aidan. I'll check it out...

I think ya'll are a bit off:

Checkout my post 4 posts from the bottom.

Alright, cool - unlike you though, I have no life, so I actually went through the member list to figure it all out.

LOL I never checked how much I had posted, but since the move to vBulletin, I saw that I'm far above the 500 posts... That's what you call a nice surprise...
And yes, I like the title![]()

whats amazing is those 500 posts in the last 2 months. Your fingers must get tired.
Chris

Guess so... But I use to come 3-5 times a day on this forum, so I guess it's quite logical...![]()

Hmmm... I've calculated the average post per day, and it's somewhere between the 6 and 7 posts a day... Wow...

I average in at about 2.1 posts/day since I registered. doesn't sound like much, but I took a really long break and came back about half a year later, keeping my old username.
Since I came back, I average at about 7.6 posts per day.

I'm streaky...30 posts a day, and then none for a few days. It all depends on my mood I suppose. I've been registered for a little over a year, however as of only several months ago I had about 75 posts...the creation of the SitePoint Network made me into an active poster.

LOL... Yesterday I joined the Guru club![]()

Just about 40 more posts and I'll be a SitePoint Addict
I registered in January 2000 and posted about 25 posts, then I stopped for a few months and now I'm back.![]()

I registered at the end of April, and now i am almost a SitePoint Addict with something in the region of 195 posts I believe.
I have come lots over the past few months, but at the start I probably posted about 1 a day, then only in the last month or so I have really started posting loads.
