Hi Kerry. We have a thread for Introductions rather than a forum, to the which I've moved your post. (We did have a forum, but it kept filling up with spam.) Arguably, the best way to introduce yourself is to get posting in the real forums anyway, so go for it!

Many years ago, I subscribed to Sitepoint so that I could learn SEO. In those days, I was trying to get the website of the company I worked for higher up in the rankings. I would work all day and then come home and start reading forum threads here. It helped me a lot - we got all the way to number one.
In the years since, I must admit that I totally forgot about this forum. I now work for myself and have six ecommerce websites that do very well. I'm sorry and embarrassed for my prolonged absence.
I've learned a ton over the years and hope I can help some people in the community much the way that I was helped back in the day. I'm sure there is more to learn, too (there always is).
Hello there. My name is Peter Will and I am a new member at this community. I am an experienced webmaster and I own an Internet Marketing & SEO forum community running on Xenforo. I really want to get into the bigger area of forum and website administration and make myself better at the job I do. So that is why I have joined here. I hope to discuss and have a great time with you all.
Hello all! Just signed up. Name's Austin. I'm 22, based out of Las Vegas, NV, and I'm a freshie - completely new to the game. I've got my temporary portfolio site up at <snip>. I've been busy studying everything since January and I'm tackling my first payed client now and boy, it's a doozie. I started off smart though. Got my ass covered with a contract and believe I'm doing pretty damn well with my design process considering I'm still new.
Basically, I'm an outdoorsy/tech geeky/hippie type. I work at REI on the side and spend much of my time in the outdoors between backpacking, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, climbing, trail running, cycling, and off roading. When I'm at home, if I'm not on my computer - I'm under my Jeep. I also happen to be pretty swell at drawing. :P
I'm really looking forward to joining in with the community. I absolutely love web design. I'm just looking for friendly help and like-minded people to chat with. I've been a fan of Sitepoint since I started. Great resources all around.
Feel free to message me and say hi! I'm super friendly and am always happy to make new connections.
