    DNS server?

    Hi

I am wondering about setting my cpu as web server and was thinging about this DNS server, my ISP has one and charges fee to use it so I was wondering, can't i just make one???

Plz don't call me a noob if I can't cause the only thing i know about DNS servers is that they store domain names
    Plz don't be cruel

every DNS server has to have an SOA (Start of Authority). In other wrds, you could have all the infrastructure of DNS and all the zones in place, but unless another DNS server higher up in the DNS hierarcy has delegated authority to your DNS server, you're up a creek. I find it unlikely that your ISP will delegate DNS stuff to you, but it neve hurts to try.
