you can either look for a CGI script, a Java script or even use ASP or PHP to accomplish this. It all depends on what your hosts supports and what you are familiar with.
i'd recommend going with either a CGI, ASP, or PHP script. Since these are all ran from the server you won't have to worry about browser compatability.
the first is the replacement page for noevalley.com and is a vast improvement (due almost entirely to the sitepoint forum). it uses lots of mysql and php to do the heavy carrying.
but the problem is noevalley.com/category.php3
i need to get the initial grouping down to about 6 to 10 and then telescope from there.
to lay the whole page on the viewer is to insure they will leave - forever.
i am almost certain others must have this same problem.
