From a purely legal (in the UK) point of view, do I need my site to work with JS turned off?

I have inherited a site that uses complex JS to make the content appear as well as use core functionality so the site is useless without JS but that to me would mean it isn't meeting the minimum standards on the DDA but I can't find anywhere that specifically states that you must provide a working non-JS version (other than comments about allowing every user access to your site).

Thank, Des
