Live with it. You can't make money off everyone. The chances are that anyone who is running Adblock wouldn't have clicked on the ads even if they had seen them, so you haven't lost anything. If you make your ads more aggressive and try to get around the various blockers then all you will do is annoy your users ... if I use an ad blocker and then find a site that is so desperate to show me ads that it will use sneaky tricks to get past the blocker then not only will I never use the site again, but I will badmouth it at every opportunity I get, and then other people who might have clicked on the ads are less likely to visit, so the site will see its revenue fall.

I completely agree. Not everyone wants to be marketed to like that, so you'll have to accept it. Try to think of additional ways to monetise the site in order to catch people turned off by the ads (e.g. selling an ebook related to the topic of the site etc)

I have come across several sites that actively kick users back to google,
one was even running a particulary nasty browser crashing script
and did far worse than just badmouth it. So it's worth letting a few tech
savvy freeloaders through for the sake of a quiet life because you seldom
get that many visitors running adblock.

Remember the use of adblock and similiar systems can be detected by
in page javascript so there is scope for some tomfoolery such as alternative
content or restricting what the page actually shows to these visitors.

    Dear adblock user,
did you know all advertising revenue from
this page goes to deserving causes
