    Text size in tables

    I am confused. I want to set the text size in my tables but I'm not sure what tags I should modify.

    Changing <p> tags is easy enough but tables confuse me because there are table cell size details aswell.

    How do I do it?

    Also, how do I change the default font size?

    By the way, I am using Dreamweaver 4.

    Any suggestions on a forum for Dreamweaver? I like vbulletin based forums...

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Set the TD tag.

    This is my default style declaration that I use when designing a new site. I modify it from there.

    <style type="text/css">
    <!--

    body, p, div, td { font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt; color: #000000; }

    -->
    </style>

    That sets every piece of text that is contained within a P, DIV or a TD to the above style.

    I have a file called adr.css and wondered where and what in there I would type that information.

    The file contents is:

    .highlight { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: #FFFF66; font-weight: normal}
    h1 { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.25em; font-weight: bold}
    h1 { }
    h1 { }
    h1 { }
    h1 { line-height: 3em; margin-bottom: 0px}
    .navlinks { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: .75em}
    body { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: .5em}
    p { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 0.8em}
    p { }
    p { }
    p { }
    li { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 0.8em}
    li { margin-bottom: .8em}
    li { }

    How come I have lots of h1{ } in there? Can I delete the extra?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Yes, you can delete the empty ones. As for the code I gave you, it sets the font size for the entire page at once. For any other elements you might want to delete at least the font-family setting. That way you save a little code.
