I have not got any of the ad space in my soon-to-be launched ezine filled yet. I was wondering if any of you knew of any ad networks out there who will fill this adspace. Any that I have looked at won't accept me as my subscriber base is very low (the ezine is just starting) or they do not let you use their ads in ezines. Anyone know of anything?

I am pretty sure that you will not get any advertisers until your ezine is launched and begin to get subscribers.

To get subscribers: promote, promote, promote. Trade links, get listed in the search engines, get active in newsgroups.

I have found that after about 2-3,000 subscribers, advertisers will begin to look at you more seriously.

Check out my FREE ezine that features recently expired and repossessed domain names: http://www.DomainRepo.com

    Best of luck,
    Ryan

FlyCast and Burst also have email advertising networks that will sell adverting in your newsletter.

I don't think that you will make enough to pay for your time if your subs base is less than 1K, so my advice to you is to exchange with other similar eZines.

    Check out http://ezine-swap.com for example

Another idea is to fill your vacant ad space with affiliate programs related to your topic.

Since I have a domain name newsletter, if I have a free space, I can put a domain registrar or domain appraisal service.

Check out affiliate directories such as http://www.associateprograms.com

One that I use often is Clickbank. You can sign up instantly, are automatically accepted and easily start adding links. Many of their affilaite programs pay up to 50% commission. They have tons of choices for webmaster related programs, and since they are an independant 3rd party, I always get paid on time. I have used their service for almost a year and I highly recommend them:

    Good luck,

That ClickBank link is a pay-per-click link.

An ezine is a regular notice sent out to visitors who subscribe. It can have news regarding the site, or information that is related to the topic that your site is in. For an example of this, I highly recommend you sign up for SitePoint's own ezine (go to http://www.sitepoint.com/newsletter/ to subscribe).

When the visitors read this, they may return to the site. This helps bring repeat traffic to your site. Also, it keeps your site in your visitors mind.

Another benifit of ezines is that you can sell ad space in them.
