    .? ..? Referencing links on a subdomain

Here's an easy question! Something I seem to keep forgetting how to do..

I have a subdomain: store.mascotartist.com which references a directory called /content/ on the main domain of mascotartist.com. In the store subdomain, how would I reference the links to point back to the /content/ directory? I've tried several ways I know and it keeps pointing to store.mascotartist.com/content/....rather than mascotartist.com/content.

Please remind me before I lose my sanity!

unless i'm misunderstanding your question/intention, the only way to do it is to use absolute url with http://mascotartist.com , as effectively - for all intents and purpouses - once you're in store.mascotartist.com you're in a completely separate domain from the main mascotartist.com site...
or am i missing something here ?

yep, it'll have to be absolute, if everything's linked there I guess you could use a base href at the top of your page

just thought about this: you could also set up redirections in the virtual host configuration of store.mascotartist.com (in apache...IIS probably something similar)
    Code:
    Redirect /content http://mascotartist.com/content
    etc for all your directories.
    just thoughts...

He means add that line to the .htaccess file on your store.mascotartist.com domain.
