recommendit vs let em know vs bravenet vs own scripts

Please excuse me if i am restarting a discussion already done on wr bt my question is slightly different

Firstly about the above scripts
recomendit - free gives a plam pc free
let em know - free no free gift
bravenet - free no free gifts

Please inform do these services insert any kind of advertisements in the emails sent

Secondly how important is it to give a free gift to get more recommendation email.

I guess a gift is always an added benifit & can dramatically improve the responses obviousley if the site is of quaity.

Any other techniques to get the maximum out of this recommendation technique.

I use recommend-it on my site http://www.absolutecross.com
They now offer a $10,000 prize instead of the Palm... it works very well and with very minimal exposure on my site, it provides plenty of response. I also build a note about winning $10,000 for "recommending-it" in each of my weekly ezines that go out to about 3,000 subscribers. I also use cgi tracking on my links in the ezine, so the reader doesnt even see the actual link.

Anyhow, works pretty good - go for it
