    1. I've seen people published HTML newsletters a lot lately and really want to be able to do this. Does anyone have any idea of where to go to begin here?

    2. An added benefit of an HTML newsletter is that I wouldn't have to go through the laborious chore of converting my text newsletters to HTML for the archives section of my site. Does anyone have a better way to do this? Grrr...

    I would keep my newsletter content in a database along with the normal articles on my site. Then using ASP you can export that content into standard static HTML documents or even "Dynamic Static HTML" documents. if you look at the different ASP sites you can find code to do this. If not then drop me a line and I will look up a couple of articles for you.
