    netscape trouble... :(

    hello,

    I'm using IE5.5 and Netscape 7.0 and in IE it works like a charm, but in Netscape it don't...
    here's what I'm trying to do (probably it's very simple, but I'm a bit new with css):

    <style>
    body{
    font-family: Verdana ;
    font-size: 11px;
    text-decoration: none;
    color:black;
    }
    .normal{
    font-family: Verdana ;
    font-size: 10px;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    </style>

    and in the body:

    <a style=\"color: '#218429' ;text-decoration:none;\" href=\"$link\" target=docs>$file</a>

    (it's written in the body, and not in a style sheet because I want some links in one color (directories) and other ones in another color (files). So I can't set a global color for <a>...

    I hope I explained it a bit clearly (my native language isn't English).

    Many thanks in advance,

    Greetz,

    PF

    How about adding classes? One for files, one for directories. Here's a bit of sample code to help you, and I'll even throw in the PHP syntax for free!

    PHP Code:
    <style type="text/css">
    body{
            font-family: Verdana ;
            font-size: 11px;
            text-decoration: none;
            color:black;
      }
      .normal{
             font-family: Verdana ;
             font-size: 10px;
             text-decoration: none;
      }
      a.files {
        color: #218429;
        text-decoration:none;
      }
      a.folders {
        color: red; /*or any color you want*/
        text-decoration:none
      }
     </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <?php
    echo('<a class=\"files\" href=\"$link\" target=\"docs\">$file</a>');
    ?>
    Hope this helps!
