How does this happen in mySQL?

Suddenly noone could submit info to one of my tables. I eventually noticed that in "Row Statistics in phpMyAdmin that the "Next Autoindex" # for "id" was the same number as the last entry. I noticed the error trying to manualy add some data, thus getting an error. What can cause this? Does this happen often. I deleted the "id" field and re-created it and all was well. Was just wondering how this can happen.

very easy, someone when designing database picked up integer type which is not large enough for this table.
Always use unsigned and large integers if your record count increase fast

Ah your right. It was TINYINT(11). That would be why it stoped at 127 then.
