    Nice clean site. I don't think the font for your headers (Home, Services, et al.) fits with the sophisticated look your you logo and your great use of lines. I like the use of dingbats for graphics.

    Overall a very good site with quality content on its subject matter.

    The second it finished loading I thought to myself "this developer know what the heck he/she was doing right from the start."

    Fantastic job...the light colors do a great job of adding color the page without distracting from the content.

    Only downside I can POSSIBLY come up with is that I expected rollover images on the left...I think they'd be a welcome addition to an already fine site.

    Nishank,
    Nice slick design, clear and easy to follow, though, like TWT I expected rollovers on the left.

    One minor gripe (and this does not relate just to your site) You have a link to prices when really you give none at all - I think this is missleading - but then it is what most do.

    I like the smaller pics too.

    Good site

    Wow! I am really impressed. Just the right balance of simplicity and visual interest. All the links I like to see on a design site such as yours - testimonials are especially important. As has been said, the "Price" link is a little misleading, but . . . .
    And on top of all of that, the text is well-written, professional and creates a definite sense of confidence in the abilities of your company.

    If I complained about anything, it would be that the portfolio site doesn't link to the actual sites. But it looks like that is an upcoming feature that will be added soon.

    Fast load time, good site overall..

    I would change the "who, what, how" text to a dark blue so that it fits nicely with your page scheme.

    I like the blue dingbats too. Definite attention-grabbers.

    I wish I could have clicked on your portfolio sites to see the designs in action!

    As you can see, these are just minor things. Overall your page looks very nice!

    Thank you everyone for your kind responses. Today I didn't even need coffee to cheer me up!

    I will be adding JavaScript rollovers very soon. The portfolio will also be updated in a couple of weeks (I need to contact all clients).

    As for the header font, I can't seem to decide on one that would be suitable for it. I must have taken a look at the site fifty times with different fonts and can't seem to be satisfied with it. Hopefully I will fix that up by this weekend also.

    Once again, thanks everyone

    Maybe I will also get involved in those new "design contests" in the Trading post forums

    Please take a look at graphicaxis.com again. I have added JavaScript rollovers and a few other changes. Does it look better now? Has it significantly slowed the loading time (I am always VERY concerned with that!)

    Please let me know if you find any errors with the rollover graphics. Thanks, in advance.

    Like others, I don't have much bad things to say about the site. Even the headers seem fine to me as well. I thought the "My Axis Production" was kind of distracting though. Perhaps it can be presented in another way.

    I personally feel that if you aren't gonna 3D the rest of the back ground then the buttons shouldn't be 3D.

    Rollovers are nice and smooth, no delay between the mouseover. Load time is good...nothing to worry about (I'm on a 56K modem right now).

    The "My Axis Production" may be a little distracting, but I think it showcases the developer's talents well...looks nice to me.

    It looks good now and it loads fast.
    Was this site created for 600x480 or what? With 1024x786 it looks extremely small.

    Elledan, I've tried as hard as possible to accommodate almost all screen resolutions. I have indeed looked at it with a 1024x786 resolution, and it seems pretty good to me.

    What I can't believe is that business has gone down about 40% since I put up this particular design!! If things keep on like this, I will definitely have to change the site all over again. Can anyone suggest what might be causing it? Does the site seem a little boring?

    Well, overall I think the design is pretty clean, but I think the design is pretty boring.

    As a web designer, you should create your best work possible for your homepage. Although this looks good, I don't think it's your best.

    As I've said, everything looks good, but it needs to be spiced up. The logo needs to be changed first. All it is is text. I know the 'A' has a bevel effect, but it's nothing too spectacular. SPICE IT UP!

    I've begun working on another design for Graphic Axis. However, with my full time job (as a Web Designer for eWOMP.com), it could take a while.

    Three concepts have already been developed, but I can't show it due to fact that it might get stolen (it always happens to me

    Any suggestion or comments on what should I include on the new site?

    Do you have a copy of your previous design before this one? Maybe we can see the old one with the new one and see if there is a major difference that could cause a slow down.

    General:
    Very clean, fast loading. Very nice work on the rollovers. So many sites don't preload the images - glad to see you did! A bit too monochromatic for my tastes. Perhaps using a broader palette for the very good looking icons you have would supply the 'spice' that was mentioned earlier.

    I also found the MY AXIS PRODUCTION distracting. It took a minute for me to realize it had no function.

    The 'free quote' is an excellent idea, especially with links to it from so many places! You might want to consider quoting a range of prices to give viewers a feel for what is possible. Something like '3 page site with graphics and copy provided you - $250' (or $500 or whatever) followed by some examples of the extras you can provide (logo design, etc.) with some price ranges.

    SPECIFIC:

    HOME - Too many words - if they are at your site they already know what a site can do for them (WHY) and they should get the WHO from looking over your site. So I'd either drop the WHY and WHO paragraphs or cut back to a single sentence.

    SERVICES - You might consider using bulleted lists to convey your message using less text.

    PORTFOLIO - I was very disappointed that there were no links. I expected to be able to go look at the real items. Other than that, it's a super page.

    PHILOSOPHIES and
    TESTIMONIALS - I wouldn't change a thing!

    PRICES - I'd drop the jibe at other design firms (Most design firms today will charge you outrageously high prices for designs that are very common.) Better to sell yourself (especially with your talent) than take pot shots at the rest of the industry. Same advice for the last sentence on the ABOUT US page.

    CONTACT US - I was suprised to not see a phone number...

    In closing let me say that your site is very, very good. I learned a lot and picked up some great ideas going over it. I'll be re-doing my site soon (it's over 18 months old and it shows) and I'll look forward to your comments then.

    Good job. I was expecting more graphics to load. I know this is kind of odd, but maybe theres too little graphics on your page? Looks kind of plain w/ just the purple there. Everything else is great though.

    The rollovers did not work for some reason. The graphics look pretty good but the design seems a little blank if you ask me.

    First, I'd like to commend you on your excellent use of clean graphics and style. It's great to see such a well laid out design!

    However, I think the site has a couple of problems:

    1. It's too monochromatic. Practically everything that's on the site is some shade of blue or purple, and it's just too much. I'd recommend balancing the colors with some orange for the logo or buttons or something.

    2. Category heading text doesn't really fit the theme of the site. The cursive just doesn't go. Try some type of sans-serif font, or maybe a well-spaced, all-caps Times.

    3. Other various issues: Your portfolio needs a few more sites to it as well as direct links to the sites featured, and I'd also highly recommend getting more testimonials from clients, not visitors.

    Overall, a great design! Best of luck in your endeavors.

    Regards,

    I agree with micahdc that the site is too monochromatic, it's almost totally blue/white, but it you're right when you said that it looks good in 1024x768, it's only that the right half of the screen isn't used.
    Design and navigation is both smooth and clear.

    Note: It took me three tries to reach the site:
    1- first the connection timed out
    2- then the upper two mouse-over images were deformed to two small squares

    third time everything looked ok.

    First things First.
    As a design firm your layout looks good, is clean and constant, so to give a decent review I had to take a look at the code side of things.

    here is a sample of a couple of naming techniques you used

    image22 = new Image;
    image31 = new Image;

    These are verry criptc and hard to understand.

    something such as
    news1 = new Image;
    news2 = new Image;
    would be a lot easier to understand.

    Other than that this site is good for a design firm.

    3.5/5
