Your site looks real nice: clean, concise, not a bunch of extra stuff that bogs down load time or viewer attention (FYI--viewing with Netscape 4.73). The colors show good contrast, which makes it easy to read. The layout is similar to Yahoo and Alta Vista, I'm sure this was intended . My only negative is on a couple pages you had contractions without the apostrophy (cant and dont on the Zeppelink Alliance and FAQ pages respectively). And a suggestion, how about a search function on the frontpage? By just scanning the headings I couldn't find one that really stuck out where I should list my site (homebrewing supplies), and being able to search would help me find the best category.

I agree, looks like a search engine format. Load time is very good at 45.3 and it is very neat deigning, very interested in finding out how it turns out.

I like the look of the site, it is compact and the colours you have picked go well together. It also loads fast about 15-20 seconds on my 56k modem with a huge download going.

I agree that a search engine would be a good idea for the site.

I;m not sure about the 'Webmaster add your site and get a free search engine submission every month' thing because a lot of search engines don't like you doing that - I know I used to do it every month and they got fed up with me and kicked me off.

Thank you for your comments guys!
I will look into the search function at once. (the problem at present is that there's not very much to search on yet...) :-) the idea being that webmasters should create their own categories but maybe this is not explained clearly enough?
It would be interesting to hear your comments.

    Hannes-

This is a cool service! I signed up my site, hope to see results soon.

In my opinion you should shorten the registration process. It was not clear exactly what should be done once I decided to join. Otherwise I have no complaints.

I'll be telling my friends about this!

    Good Luck!

    Hi,

Very nice, to-the-point site. The content on the mainpage could be expanded a bit...little bits of white space here and there can do a lot for the overall "feel" of the site.

The logo is nice, however part of it is a bit jagged, I would recommend anti-aliasing (sp?)...

All sub pages do a fine job of complemeting the mainpage...great job overall! If you have the opportunity I would recommend adding a bit more color, but overall it's a fine site!

You're probably right Chris, I'll loosen up the index page a little, especially at the top.

Matthew - great! I hope to see you around! If you have any questions just mail me at hansa@zeppelink.com!

I am a little worried about my sub pages. Maybe they're not enough to the point? I thinking of reducing them in size. What do you think? Are all the explanations necessary?

And thanks to all of you that are commenting!

I like the domain name - It's kind of catchy - nice choice !!!

the colout scheme looks really proffessional aswell.
May be you could add a few more graphics to the page instead of just the top bit.
Some CSS on the main menu bit in the middle or over the whole page for that matter would look slightly my "jump out at you" when you look at the page.
It's very much the same sort of thing as Yahoo!. The "Bookmark this site" could be made from a button into a simple text link, I think it would look better up by the FAQ and ABOUT US bit

    Thanks a lot Chris,

The problem is taken care of! (It was just a missing comma). Within 24 hours we hope to have a completely new website design. I promise it will be cool!

A very neat looking site. Works great in both IE 5.5 and Netscape 4.73 Try to spice it up a bit using more color table layouts. I guess your intend is to match Yahoo's style but the more unique and efficient the site is, everything should be great!

I think the site has an interesting concept. It loaded quickly, and offers good services. Of course, you could maybe expand on the content in the front page, and maybe ohter stuff than just links to other parts of the site etc. But that'll come. The site looks good, good luck

What is the extra value of this site when you compare it with bigger sites like www.yahoo.com?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Martin and everybody!

It's great to hear your encourageing comments, but doesn't anyone have any negative critique?

Martin - the point of our site is that it is a traffic-generating service for webmasters. Isn't that quite clear? Please tell me if I have to emphasize it more.

    Greetings
    Hannes

I agree with everything that has been said here. Very clean and effective design, nice name, etc.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the use of fonts. You might want to be a bit more consistent there. For instance, in the subcatagories the font is Times New Roman, while your main page is in Verdana. I would recommend using Verdana there too, as it matches your logo and site style much better.

The horizontal colored table at the top as the title bar is a little bit of a Yahoo-ripoff. If it wasn't for the logo, I would think I landed on Yahoo. But perhaps that's the association you are looking for

    Good luck. It looks great!

    Greetings,

I enjoyed your website and the overall theme behind it. One thing I'd like to comment on is the Zeppelink Alliance box at right. It looks a lot like Yahoo's.. maybe you could match the colors to fit the reds in your logo?

I love the logo and the domain name. Very catchy

    Hope it helps,
    Sparkie

    Hi
I have seen you site. It is very good
overall. Simple graphic and wording is straight to point. I just got one critique,
I think dont really like the navigation. What i mean is you should provide feature
such as search . It is very troublesome
for ppls like my who has very slow connection to browse one by one in order to
find the company that I want to look for.
Lastly I think you site deserve a
    A.

    Thank you guys,
for the comments and the encouragements.

Just a point about the Yahoo-similarities that so many of you are pointing out - yes naturally we are inspired by Yahoo and their intelligent indexation of the web. It is simply the best way to do it. As a matter of fact, there a dozens of index sites out there that has a similar-looking startpage. It has a few advantages: quick loading time (as quite a few of you has complimented), and not least because people do recognise themselves and know how to operate the site.

    Greetings,
    Hannes
