Macromedia Dreamweaver 4's Identation

Wonder if 'Identation' is spelled correct

Dreamweaver 4 has been really pissing me off lately regarding the identation displayed in Dreamweaver's Source View and displayed in Internet Explorer's Source View which results in opening the source in Notepad most of the time.

Check the source and it seems to display most of the with 6 spaces for one tab. I set Dreamweaver to:

Use: Spaces
Indent: 1 (measured in spaces)
Tab: 2 (measured in character spaces)
Linebreaks: LF(UNIX)

The source looks completely nice and purdy in Dreamweaver's Source View. I tried every possible combination I can think off .. any tips to fix this? (besides ditching DW )

Indentation - from the word dent-, tooth, in latin


Don't blame DW, the problem is the tab size in notepad
I don't know how to change that value, but I know how to change the "view source" app used by IE:
Create a registry key with the name
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\View Source Editor\Editor Name
and set the default value to
"C:\Program Files\BlahBlahBlah\MyFavouriteTextEditor.exe"

I knew it was indentation .. sort of

I could try that yes, but how come other sources display fine? Why doesn't DW convert the indents to spaces like I configured it to do?
