    Hi,

I am just after a few opinions about the design of a site I am working on. It is not finished so no comments about links not working, lack of content etc. I just want to know what you think of the design in general, the only links that work are the (more...) ones.

Also don't take the prices for granted either if you are interested in them.

    Here's the url: GetSpotted.net

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I love this site. I am not doing quick review because I want a site reviewed as I don't but I really can't find anything wrong with your site. I have never really reviewed a site without giving anything wrong but I seriosly can't with yours.

    Well Done

the buttons on the left are hard to read, very blurry.

nothing much to say - you dont have any content on it yet.

Nice looking site. I agree that the links on the left are kind of hard to read, but when you hover over them they outline red and they become sharper--easier to read, maybe put a black outline around the text?? Otherwise the graphics are are pretty neat.

Site graphics are a bit large. You don't have any content yet and the site loads semi-slow. What's it going to be like with the content?

The domain name and the logo don't match. Doesn't really make sense but maybe this is just a parking place for KDA?

Yes, the images in the navigation bar are blurred.

Rather than calling them POP Boxes, why not call them Email Boxes or Addresses? Most newbies to web hosting won't understand your terminology.

Let us know when you have content online for a better review.

    Regards,

The domain name is just a parking place for the finished site at the moment.

I assume by large graphics you are referring to the file size? One of the main reasons for the site loading slow-ish is because of the big 468x60 banner, the one's in rotation at the minute are about 15-20k and I am not happy with the speed of the rotator either.

I can get the page to load in 20s flat on my 56k modem (about 42k connection).

As for POP boxes, we are not bothered about that as we are targetting SOHO business people.

The front page of the site is only going to have maybe 1-2k of text on it, if that so it shouldn't make to much difference. We are aiming for each page to fall within the bottom of the nav bar.

Thanks for your comments so far, keep 'em comin'

Wow! Not bad at all. I like it a lot. The only thing I am not sure about is the little price thingys on the right side? It looks nice though, keep up the good work!

You were not kidding when you said there was little content!

Hate to be the odd one out, but I fthought the buttons were clear and obvious. you need to put a home link in though from the icon at the top left.

Colours were clean and the site is not too slow.

Let people know when there is content then we can pick you up on grammar and stuff!

    Cheers

I like the layout it's cool

the left buttons are hard to read - as people said above,
and up on the top left- top corner the graphic doesn't seem to reach the edge of the screen (800 x 600 res.) ?

there isn't really much else to say about the site - but it's a very clean design

well at first it looks really nice. But then when I scroll down there is a seeming line jutting half way into the page made up by those 3 "php, html, css" buttons. It looks weird. Maybe with your content it might fill that out though....

Also when I first loaded it it wasn't a maximized window and it fit the page perfectly. However as soon as I maximized it I got 4-5 inches of unused whitespace on the right side of my browser. my desktop is 1024/768 You may want to try centering the table. Other than that I like it. Except the hot pink banner ad from macromedia, but thats hardly your fault.

The banners are just there to test the rotation software.

I don't want to center the table because it is designed to fit close to the top left and top right of the screen.

Daniel - were you using Netscape?

Well, I'll be the odd guy out here. I think the colors are nice but there is too much going on for my taste, especially once there is text. The banner at the top dominates the site. Try to find a way to integrate it in with the site rather than let it dominate. Also there are too many flashing things on the page. This is a matter of personal taste. I don't like more than one thing blinking on a page, especially if they are surrounding text.

Before nyone says they can't get to the site, it has been removed due to a breach of our ISPs TOS (They didn't spot it - I did and corrected it before they did spot it) if you visit all you will find is my own web design site.

Thanks for all your comments we are looking at how they can help improve the site.
