    ASP CHM file?

    Hello,

I trying to find out whether ASP has a Windows help file (CHM format), similar to the one found on www.php.net?

    The direct URL is:
    http://www.php.net/distributions/man..._manual_en.chm

I find the CHM file most convinient. If anybody could point me in the right direction on where to find one (ASP 3.0) I would be very grateful.

Or course, if there are any other alternatives do let me know.

    Kind Regards,

    Neil

dunno about the CHM file, but if its documentation and resources you're after...

this is probably the best place to start looking.

and if you do find anything thats not on there, post it!

I have never found a CHM for ASP 3 (although I suspect that there's one contained in the *huge* Microsoft Platform SDK, which can be freely downloaded or ordered on CD), but I do have one for ASP 2 (and there aren't that many changes between ASP 2 and 3.

However, I suspect that what you actually want is VBScript documentation, which can be obtained from the link in my sig below!

    yeah
I'd like to see it too.
how big could it possibly be if it has no vbscript in it?

I ripped it from an old Microsoft Platform SDK, which uses external .CHI (index) files to allow you to search the entire SDK. Delete/move it, and you'll find that the contents pane will have disappeared!

If you have IIS installed, what's wrong with using http://localhost/iishelp/iis/misc/default.asp ?

Of course, you can use HTML Help Workshop and compile the htm files into a chm file, but why? (And you will get some problems with the asp files in the docs...)
