Unhappy table cells keep moving - can't figure it out

I'm having trouble with a navigation bar, everytime a different link is clicked the table cells change sizes.

As far as I can tell, it is the content on the pages that is causing it to happen (I can tell this beacuse when I removed all content and just left the layout the cells didn't move)

The problem is that no matter how I format the content I can't get the table cells to stop moving

    any ideas?

to give you a better idea of what the page looks like - it is basically 3 rows - the top row is the navigation and has 6 cells, the 2nd(middle) row is the content and spans the width of the 6 cells, the bottom row is text navigation - it is one cell that spans 6.

    Thanks
any help would be greatly appreciated

    try this!!!

    Hi,

I think u could get over that problem if u specify the width and height of the table cells. Mostly because the page loads the content which is not yet loaded makes the cell emty and makes them to resize a bit.

try to specify the width and height if possible.

heh I knew it would be something really simple
I had specified the width of the content area in the <tr> tag.. so I added the width to the <td> tag as well and now all is fine

    thanks
